Revolutionary Era
Overview of the Era
During the Revolutionary literary time period there was a famine of "Fine Literature". Since the war was raging people did not have the time to sit down and write a novel. Most of the documents that were written during that time were political documents that changed the United States. The things written about things other than politics was poetry. There were also essay and short books written about the times. There was some sculpture and art but most of the materials for sculpting was going towards the war. There were many important people in the United States colonies these brilliant men formed the great country that we know today. These men were political geniuses. There were many great documents but from their great mind the Declaration of Independence was written. We really owe the formation of this country to the literature of the Revolutionary War.
